Hi my name is Dexter. I am a 10 year old corgi/chihuahua mix who weighs about 12 lbs. Don't you just love my ears!! I am the complete package. I am sweet, happy go lucky and full of energy. You would never guess that I was 10 years old. I am a dogs dog and a people dog. I get along great with other dogs. I even like cats and I adore people. I want to be wherever you are. There is no privacy when I am around. Yes I even follow you in there too. I just like to be with my people. I will sit beside you or in your lap to watch TV. I will hang out with you outside if you like to garden. I love to go on walks and am good on a leash so hopefully you like to do that too. I would be a good companion for a recently retired or empty nest couple. I would also be a good family dog as long as there are no toddlers around! I am housebroken and crate trained. I know how to use a doggie door. My foster mom is retired so having someone home during the day would be a plus. Did I say that I like to be where the people are?! You can leave me at home though when you run errands or go to the grocery. I do not like to ride in the car at all. I make all kinds of noise. My foster mom cannot figure this out but I just stay home! I have been neutered and am current on all my shots and microchpped. I am also on monthly flea/tick/heartworm preventative.
